A deep commitment to nurturing all forms of life
Thriving ecosystems,
crucial for bees and other vital pollinators
Our ecosystem, featuring majestic jaguars, agile pumas, ocelotes, howler and capuchino monkeys, dantas, caotíes, tapir three-toed sloths, among others, is a complex tapestry where every species and plant, including native herbs and flowers plays a vital role in maintaining ecological balance and creating thriving habitats for crucial pollinators like bees.
To strengthen our bond with nature and promote biodiversity, we've introduced measures like windbreaks and erosion control barriers, employing plants such as Baleriana, Copachi, Trueno, Caña india, and Maní forrajero.
Our goal transcends sustainability; we strive for symbiosis, aspiring to be a part of a vibrant, healthy ecosystem that enriches our lives in return.
Unlocking the potential of our volcanic soil, boosting fertility and plant health.
By retaining water and nutrients, Biochar unleashes the potential of our soil through innovative practices like the eco-friendly pyrolysis process used to create it. By transforming organic crop waste into an environmental asset, Biochar not only stores carbon effectively but also acts as a reservoir for vital elements such as water and microorganisms.
As an integral part of our regenerative agriculture, Biochar goes beyond being merely a carbon repository; it becomes a catalyst that activates and supports natural soil processes. This holistic approach is central to our mission of cultivating an ecosystem where each component contributes to a healthier, more vibrant whole.
In embracing regenerative agriculture we step beyond mere carbon sequestration. We take on the role of stewards of biodiversity, promoting ecological interactions, enhancing soil fertility, and actively reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Our journey in responsible food production merges sustainability with innovation, grounded in our fertile lands. Here, Biochar is more than a technique—it is the lifeblood of our sustainable practices, playing a critical role in preserving carbon, elevating soil fertility, and revitalizing the health of our land.
Practical and pragmatic technological solutions.
We blend traditional farming methods with modern technology that propell us towards more efficient and sustainable coffee farming:
Tech-Powered Diagnostics: utilizing drones and sensors, we gain comprehensive insights into the health of our coffee groves. This technology enables swift identification and resolution of plant health issues, ensuring optimal growth conditions.
Biotech for prevention and treatment: biotechnological supplements enriched with beneficial microorganisms. These supplements foster a healthy ecosystem for our coffee plants, promoting their growth and resilience.
Continuous Learning through AI and Data: AI and data processing are integral to our farming strategy. They help refine our practices, improving plant health and boosting crop yields. Our goal is to ensure each coffee harvest surpasses the last in quality.

Our
commitment
Flying Pumas is currently mapping civil society organizations (NGOs), educational institutions, governmental entities, and companies that are implementing protection and conservation actions for felines on a territorial scale or at the program level. It is our greatest interest to establish synergies with actors who have a presence in the territory and to join initiatives to amplify the positive impact on felines, with the aim of significantly contributing to the conservation of their habitat and reducing the vulnerability of feline species that use the area of the farm as a corridor.
To this end, we have committed to developing the following initiatives:
Protect and conserve 120 hectares out of the 180 hectares that the farm encompasses, avoiding any disturbance to the habitat of the felines and other present species.
Using camera traps, we perform an inventory of feline species to determine their presence on the Flying Pumas farm and identify factors for the use of this habitat.
We promote initiatives in environmental education to raise awareness among the internal team of the farm and the stakeholders in the area of influence to reduce conflicts and challenges between people and feline species.
